Happy New Year

As the end of January approaches and we begin to reach our coldest air and water temperatures in the eastern US, here are a few images from last summer to remind us all of the warm ocean breezes that visit for a few months each year.

Storm surfing

While our favorite surf spots were preparing for the surge yesterday, there were a few who took the opportunity to harness the wind and face the ocean swells.

Those with the experience and skill to match her ever increasing fury provided thrilling excitement for onlookers. These kite surfers were out on Sunday, October 28th, 2012 at high tide.
